When the bubble pops..

I lived in a big round bubble. It was not an ordinary bubble. It was shiny, bright and royal. The best feature of the bubble was that whenever life threw lemons in my face, the thin yet protective layer of the bubble acted like a shield in front of hopelessness.

Just when I was about to give up on life, my presence in the bubble reminded me that no matter how bad the times have gotten at the moment, better times shall come ahead. I had dreams of flying to the peaks of success by floating in the bubble. It was easy to believe in the 'this too shall pass' phenomenon as long as I happily collided here and there in my bubble. However, today the bubble popped and...

When the bubble pops,
Your heart beat drops.
You look here and there for props,
But all you've got for the pain is eye drops.

It becomes really hard to believe in the phrase "all bad things happen for a reason" or that "Allah has a better plan for you".

And at this point in life, some lose themselves to depression, some become suicidal and others stop believing in the Almighty.

However, the smart ones realize that it is nothing but the beginning of the final stage of the test. They confront all the blows of life with their faces held up high. They cling to hope like a soul clings to the body and keep the faith in the All Powerful as strong as rock. They do all this because they know that that staying in the bubble was not life. Life begins just when the bubble pops.

They are the people who have lived life to the fullest. They have been at a stage when their hearts beat like a drum and their knees feel weak while they are still young. They are the people who look at themselves in the mirror and cry their lungs out until those lungs refuse to cry anymore and until the tear ducts give up. They are also the ones who pull themselves together, keep the belief in the Creator as strong as ever and rise like a phoenix from the ashes.

So today, I choose to be among the latter ones.
